Fisher RS 1035 Stereo Receiver
1977
A midprice receiver Fisher RS-1035 made by Sanyo. The tuning section is quite sensitive with good channel separation. Overall, a compact receiver that already be familiar enough with steam 2x40 watts into 4 ohms speakers. With nice front design of this line was tempted formerly the great name of "The Fisher" (made in USA) to a wider audience by means of hi-moderate cost prices make available - now made in Japan. Under the name "Studio Standard by Fisher" the series reached the hifi friends from the mid-70s.

Pioneer SX-1980, 1280 and 1080 are the three largest receiver of the end of the seventies golden HiFi years. They were the uncompromising top sellers in the international market receiver that you could buy in the HiFi-Studios. Comparable stereo there was still made by manufacturers like Sansui, Marantz and a few other manufacturers, at least from the then leading Japanese productions.
The SX-1080 offers a power output of 140 watts per channel based on an oversized power supply and a lot of power transistors.
The beautiful real wood case with prominent cheeks, brushed solid aluminum front panel, the large transformer as well as an enormous amount of circuitry allow the SX-1080 heavy weight with 22kg.
The SX-1080 is optically pure a convincing argument in the living area for enjoyment of vintage stereo in your house.

Marantz 2270 Stereo Receiver
1971
With the Model 2270 Marantz has launched in 1971 a legend in the market. The performance was amazing 70 watts per channel stereo. This was the beginning of the worldwide success of the Marantz receiver. It was the largest model of the 22XX series.
A receiver battle began among the big manufacturers such as Sansui, Pioneer & Co. Who can build the strongest receiver? Sansui ultimately won the war with the G-33000 from 1978 with a fighting weight of almost 50kg, a static challenge for any music systems furniture :)
After the first 22xx-series Marantz has launched the model again and again. With rising power has unfortunately the quality of the components was lost. I am happy with even one of the first 22er models may be able to hear my music. The sound is simply fantastic. The durable 2270 was produced in large quantities. There are a few on the market, get one, it is a valuable investment with a lot of fun every day with music ...

Marantz 4240 Quadrophonic Receiver
The Marantz 4230 is created for stereo and 4 channel (Quadraphonic) sources. Marantz called the concept sonorous "Stereo 2 + Quadradial 4". Some quadro decoder systems are on board. For an optional SQ decoder, there is a recess in the base plate, it can simply docked.
The rated output of 2x40 watts or 4x17 watts was always outbid in tests thanks to the Marantz typical transformer dimension. For the good FM reception with the possibility of multipath signal evaluation is a high quality FM front end module responsible.
The versatile enabled receiver 4240 from the legendary first 70 series is true fun and gives an entirely sophisticated impression. It sounds like it's visual impression - great!

Fisher RS 3050 Stereo Receiver

The Fisher RS-3050 receiver from the late seventies to be found in middle-class receiver segment with a unique design, the pretty decent as service-friendly circuit design and the manufacturing quality is "Made in Japan" recognize. There was the RS-3030 with slightly less power and the RS-3050 each in silver or black front. This dark version of the RS-3050

Sherwood S-5500 Tube Amplifier
This Integrated tube amp with the 4 x 7868 output pentodes rocks big time! tested it with JBL 4335 studio monitors in a huge room, 100 square meters and 5 meters high ceilings. This combination filled easily the room with an incredible rich and precise bass fundament. The only comparable amplifier is the amp unit of the 1967 Pioneer SX-800A. A very graceful sound without any importunity.
This 1960 or 1961 Sherwood tube stereo amp is 64 watts per channel – very powerful for a tube amp. It is detailed and spacious, whether listening to an iPod, CD or a turntable. It was designed and built in Chicago in a factory on north California Street.
