LUXMAN-L-350AII - The Modern Classic !

                                                                LUXMAN-L-350AII

Similar to its L-550A II predecessor, the L-350A II is a basic model of an integrated amplifier with pure Class A amplification method that features rich sound reproduction ability and allows enjoyment of music at all times. Based on years of experience and the application of the latest materials science technology, Luxman extensively uses filters, shielding, ferrites and radio-signal absorbing materials to cut electrical noise. We also use FRP (Fiber reinforced Plastics) resin, loop-less box construction and other rigidity- enhancing measures to suppress mechanical vibrations.

Luxman M-02 C-02

The Status Series M-02 and C-02 didn't begin their lives as such : they were planned as C-400 and M-400, taking over the C-300 / M-300combo, with the styling of the L-550 for the C-400.

Both prototypes were presented at the march 1983 french Hi-Fi Fair but were revised quickly thereafter to become the M-02 and C-02, smaller siblings of the already available C-05and M-05.

Unlike the C-400 which changed a lot when becoming a C-02, the M-400 didn't change much to become the M-02 - see the Invisibilia section of TVK for the one (and only ?) image of it.

The M-02 however saw an intermediary version which landed in the catalogs as late as 1987 (!) but which wasn't produced : same design but large finish differences, better specifications and a tad more power in BTL mode, too - see Knobber images #5 and #6.

The M-02 was export-only but technically directly reminiscent of the ealier M-120A : onlynot bigger and with good old needle meters instead of flashy red LEDs.

The circuit is basically the same : Duo-ßeta,Duo-Alphaplus-X power-supply and two Heat-Pipes.
One crucial ingredient however changed : the450VA transformer is of the round core type :R-Core - quite uncommon in 1983.

Caps were upped to 2x 15,000µF and the structure was reorganized to visibly be dual-mono, the transformer and heat-pipes in symmetry near the front plate, drivers and output stages near the back plate.

Output can rise up to 300W in mono mode (Duo-Alpha) but with only one speaker terminal for both modes instead of the two of the M-120A - still plenty enough to go deaf rapidly.
But beautifully.

The planned high-end status of the original "400" combo was well kept in the M-02 : it sold very well and owners keep them.

LUXMAN L-501s Integrated Amplifier

http://audio-vintage.ru/index.php?a=item&id=85

The Integrated Amplifier of L series which introduced the technology developed with the high-end model.

In order to send out the stable energy to a speaker, the Oide power transistor and the large-sized heat sink are adopted.
Moreover, the efficient large-sized EI core power transformer and the mass capacitor excellent in the instant charge-and-discharge property were carried, and the effective output of 70W+70W has been obtained.

The high slew rate CSSC (Complementary Single Stagger Circuit) super-wide band amplifying circuit which was excellent in the instantaneous power of sound in the wide band is adopted as an amplifier circuitry.

ROM optical disk (Optimized Dual) beta circuit is carried.
It was used in order to secure the stability of the direct-current area of amplifier, but by the way of inserting DC servo amplifier etc. in a feedback loop, the feedback of general DC had become a cause by which the tones for every band differed in order to put in a process which is different only to DC area.
In L-501s, though the dependency to a corrective network is reduced by improving the nakedness property of a circuitry and a direct-current region and each alternating-current region are considered as another feedback, the unification of the tone covering the stability and all the play bands of a circuitry is realized, without using DC servo amplifier.

The STAR circuit original with a Lux is adopted, sharing of the feed line in a circuitry or an earth line is abandoned, and the loop which became independent, respectively consists of connecting the whole of each line with each block or a signal path directly from a reference point.
This removes the variation factor of the amplification reference point by the cross interferencee between each circuitry, or transition of the signal current, and the cleaner music play is aimed at.

Two lines are carried in the speaker terminal as a bi-wiring interconnection correspondence.
Moreover, the vice type screw type which holds a cable firmly is adopted, and the banana plug is also supported.

The input only for man month is carried and phone amplifier is built in.

The motor drive scheme is adopted as a volume and an input selector.

Functionalities, such as a loudness, a Subsonic Filter, a feather r eggplant control, a mono-switchpoint, and a tone control, are carried.
Moreover, the straight switchpoint is carried and a tone quality with a higher purity is obtained by making a signal path simple.

Phase-in barter is carried and a phase switching of a balance line (XLR) input is possible.

The line phase sensor is carried and a polar mandatory is possible.

Relay contact only for headphone was given to the headphone jack, and it has the headphone circuitry of another system with the output to a speaker termination.

A power switch, an input selector, volume control, and the remote control in which the fundamental operation of a muting is possible are attached.
Moreover, the bus line which interlocks the compact disk player made from LUXMAN and a remote control operation is also carried, and the operationality of a systemwide is raised.
