Pioneer CS-A700 Vintage Speakers

Pioneer CS-A700 speaker was typical of mid-1970s Japanese speaker designs: huge air suspension woofer that barely fits the cabinet, cone midrange, horn tweeter, and level controls for midrange and treble. Add a basket-weave grille to match your 1960s-era furniture and the styling is complete.

  1. I have a pair of Pioneer CS-A700 speakers hooked to a Kenwood Reciver. The sound is out of this world. So powerful. Of course that Kenwood receiver has got the power to drive them hard. The recievers today are for TV's/Theaters. They are totally useless for a 2 speaker stereo system. There's no bass to speak of. You have to supplement it with a Sub Woofer. Where as The Kenwood has got the power out of the box. It's built like a Battleship.(Japan 1974)
