ReplyDeleteHello Vlad...very beautiful set! I just got one of these today from our recycling facility. It was destined to be destroyed and turned into cheap new electronics!!! But I saved it. It is not as pretty as yours but it sounds very fine indeed. Thanks for your lovely pictures!~

Just got mine from vintage shop. It's has stunningly beautiful lights and sounds great. Technically many choices as it has pre-out.
ReplyDeleteI saw these new when I was a kid, but those days they cost hugely. Still thse days this
quality seems to be almost unbeaten.
Thx for your great article, cheers !

ReplyDeleteThe sx-990 was my first new purchase of stereo equipment. Installed a large FM antenna on my parents house roof. A few years later started a repair center for stereo equipment and did warranty repairs for many major brands of HI FI. Kitz Ekectronics
ReplyDeleteFantastic old receiver in mint shape. I have worked on several 770s and would have steered clear had I seen one of these come my way. At about 14 wpc, my 770 can run my HPM 100s very well. I don't think many folks understand what these 28 watts can do with good speakers, interconnects, source, etc.
